Tango Telecom inks deal with Asian mobile operator to deploy policy controller

Telecom Lead Asia: Tango Telecom, a provider of policy
control, real-time charging and advanced messaging solutions, announced a deal
with a telecom operator in Asia to deploy its advanced policy controller.

The advanced policy controller is expected to provide
advanced data charging solution for the operator’s rapidly growing subscriber
base.

The Tango Telecom solution will enable the Asian
operator’s subscribers to benefit from innovative plans and promotions such as
tiered service level packages, roaming controls to prevent bill shock, volume
and time based quotas, pay-per-use packages and dynamic on-demand self-care
options.

Moreover, the solution assists the mobile operator to create
temporary add-on services and promotions and offer to users without the need
for costly provisioning of network systems, including profitable services such
as Day Passes, loyalty based rewards and dynamic pricing and bandwidth control.

“As operators’ requirements move beyond basic 1st
generation policy management, Tango Telecom’s Policy Controller is ideally
suited to quickly evolve and scale with rapidly changing operator and
subscriber needs,” said Colm Ward, CEO of Tango Telecom.

Tango Telecom partners with operators such as America
Movil, Telefonica O2, Vodafone, Indosat, Zain Group, and Airtel Africa to bring
enhanced services to more than 450 million subscribers world-wide.

The company claims that its Policy and Charging Control
portfolio ensures operators are ready to capitalise on the next wave of data
services growth. Policy and Charging Control solution will maximize their
return from their subscribers’ current and future demands for mobile data and
mobile broadband services.
