Rio Networks partners with ADTRAN for network solution

ADTRAN, a provider of next-generation networking
solutions, announced that Rio Networks has selected ADTRAN for an end-to-end
network replacement solution.

Rio’s selection of both ADTRAN’s extensive broadband and
enterprise portfolios will enable a full suite of business and residential
services throughout the region.

Rio’s network will be based on ADTRAN’s flagship product,
the Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform. From this
platform, Rio will be able to deploy a broad spectrum of services including
high-speed data, voice and Ethernet business services.

The Total Access 5000 is complemented by ADTRAN’s
NetVanta family of customer premises equipment including the award-winning
NetVanta 7100 IP Communications platform.

These solutions allow businesses to take advantage of a
number of cost-saving and productivity enhancing services including SIP
Trunking and hosted Voice over IP (VoIP).

We have had a long-standing relationship with ADTRAN and
have seen up close the broad array of innovative solutions they have brought to
market. ADTRAN’s products have positioned Rio Networks to redefine the CLEC
industry. QoS is now a prerequisite in delivering quality next-generation
hosted and cloud services to our customers; ADTRAN proved to do this the best,”
said Mark Bilton-Smith, president, Rio Networks.

When it came time to upgrade our network there was no
doubt that ADTRAN
was the perfect partner with the right solutions. ADTRAN was the only vendor
able to meet our needs to provide a complete end-to-end solution for both our
network and CPE equipment,” Smith added.

More and more service providers are discovering the
benefits of an end-to-end solution provider,” said P. Steven Locke, vice
president of sales, service providers, Carrier Networks Division, ADTRAN.

ADTRAN’s end-to-end advantage allows service providers to
simplify their networks, streamline operation and maintenance, quickly launch
new services and have a single point of contact. In a rapidly changing
industry, ADTRAN solutions offer the maximum flexibility for service velocity.
