Quantenna in partnership with Samsung to develop wireless products

Quantenna Communications, a provider of Wi-Fi networking
for whole-home entertainment, announced an agreement to partner with Samsung
Electronics to develop products based on Quantenna’s 4×4 MIMO Wi-Fi technology.

The partnership will enable Samsung and Quantenna to
jointly develop advanced Wi-Fi-based solutions to address a number of markets.
The two companies also expect that through a technical partnership, Samsung’s
expertise in consumer electronics products will assist Quantenna to continue to
develop high-performance wireless solutions.

Combining our expertise in high performance 4×4 MIMO
Wi-Fi with Samsung’s products enhances Quantenna’s leadership in whole-home
wireless video distribution,” said Sam Heidari, chief executive officer for
Quantenna.

Quantenna Communications recently announced
a family of carrier-grade 4×4 multiple input multiple output (MIMO) Wi-Fi
home-networking chipsets that delivers up to four simultaneous spatial streams
with wire-like quality.

Quantenna’s QHS7xx  family of Full-11n chipsets
delivers up to 600 Mbps of bandwidth in a cost-optimized fourth-generation
solution that enables the development and deployment of retail products and
carrier services for delivering IPTV and other Internet-based video streaming
and data distribution services over an ultra-reliable, high-performance Wi-Fi
connection.
