Telecom Lead India: PE-Inalp Networks, Indian business
arm for Patton has launched new high-capacity SmartNode 10200 VoIP
media gateway series for Telecom Carriers, BPOs and large enterprises in India.

The newest member of the SmartNode
family supports up to 2048 SIP/H.248 voice or T.30/T.38 fax calls, and
T1/E1, DS3 or STM-1/OC3 trunks with SS7 signaling. By providing
transcoding among all voice codecs and signaling protocols, it ensures seamless
interoperation with all major softswitches.

This announcement expands Patton’s SmartNode portfolio
far beyond its former 2-to-120-call range and brings an integrated carrier
grade scalable media gateway platform to the Indian market. With its capability
to expand from 16E1 to 63 E1 and provide a single box solution for SS7 / SIGTRAN
/ ISDN, the SN10200 will address the entire media and signalling unified

interconnects traditional and iPBX phone systems, to deliver high-volume SIP
trunking with up to 90 completed calls per second.

In India, the company said that its SmartNode family
has large population of its both analog gateway series that supportsupto 32
