Nokia Networks has bagged a four-year managed services deal from Vodafone Hutchison Australia that aims to improve mobile broadband service experience to its customers.
The Finnish telecom vendor did not disclose the financial details of the managed services deal with Vodafone Hutchison Australia.
Nokia Networks’ managed services capabilities include operations and maintenance services as well as remote network management from Nokia’s global delivery center in India.
The managed services deal includes a joint transformation project to leverage technology innovation and organizational efficiencies to deliver continuous service improvement and achieve cost savings for both parties over the lifetime of the contract.
The current contract is an extension of the initial managed services contract signed in 2006.
“This initiative is in line with our commitment to provide the best-in-class service experience to our customers, even as we focus on evolving our infrastructure to address future capacity and coverage requirements,” said Benoit Hansen, chief technology officer of Vodafone Hutchison Australia.
Nokia Networks says it is the second-largest telecom services vendor in the world. Nokia Networks has nearly 20 years of expertise in the managed services business, and manages 550 million mobile subscribers in networks.
