Nokia formed two new organizations — Technology and AI Organization led by Pallavi Mahajan and Corporate Development Organization led by Konstanty Owczarek — to sharpen its focus on artificial intelligence, technology innovation, and strategic growth. The new structure will take effect on 1 October 2025.

As part of the changes, Nishant Batra, Nokia’s Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, will step down from the Group Leadership Team on 30 September 2025. Hotard thanked Nishant Batra for his pivotal role in transforming Nokia Bell Labs, advancing 6G leadership, and driving the company’s innovation strategy.

President and CEO Justin Hotard, who joined the telecom equipment maker from Intel, said the move positions Nokia to capitalize on the global AI supercycle by strengthening its core technology, security, and AI capabilities while deepening partnerships.

“Having a dedicated Technology and AI organization will be an important asset for us and our customers. The new Corporate Development organization will accelerate our strategy evolution and execution,” Justin Hotard explained.
