Nokia and IOH extend 4G and 5G collaboration in Indonesia

Nokia and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) have extended their collaboration with a two-year deal to enhance IOH’s 4G and 5G networks across Indonesia from 2025 to 2027.

The partnership will leverage Nokia’s advanced AirScale technology and AI-driven solutions to optimize network performance and expand connectivity in key regions.

The agreement also includes deploying Nokia’s Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions to ensure broader broadband access, supporting Indonesia’s digital inclusion efforts. This expansion aims to improve connectivity, fuel economic growth, and support underserved communities.

IOH CEO Vikram Sinha  said this partnership is a pivotal step toward integrating AI into their ecosystem, paving the way for smarter, more efficient networks that will shape Indonesia’s digital future and elevate the quality of life for every Indonesian.

Nokia’s Mobile Networks President Tommi Uitto, said, “By leveraging our state-of-the-art AirScale portfolio solutions and AI-driven capabilities, we are empowering IOH to build a robust, future-ready network.”
