NetQin selects Pacnet to increase network efficiency

NetQin Mobile, a provider of consumer mobile security and productivity
applications, announced that it has selected Pacnet, a telecommunications
service provider, to enhance its network infrastructure and boost the delivery
of its products and services across Asia and the United States.

“Mobile security threats are set to escalate as more
Internet-connected mobile devices proliferate across the market. As one of the
first companies in the world to recognize smartphone security risks, we are
dedicated to providing our customers with the turnkey solutions they need to
secure their mobile devices,” said Henry Lin, chairman and chief executive
officer of NetQin.

The deal enables NetQin to utilize a range of Pacnet services including
IP Transit, co-location, managed services and Ethernet International Private
Leased Line (EIPL) Service, in China, Hong Kong and the United States, so as to
further extend NetQin’s market reach across Asia Pacific and the United States
as it expands and enhances its industry-leading threat monitoring capabilities.

“Today’s web-enabled businesses are highly dependent on efficient
and reliable network services to bring to the market unrivaled solutions for
consumers and enterprises alike,” said Bill Barney, chief executive
officer of Pacnet

Pacnet’s efficient and resilient network will also provide NetQin’s
headquarters in Beijing with rapid access to data from its recently opened
Security Research Center based in Raleigh, North Carolina, the United States,
speeding up the early detection of mobile security threats.

“We are delighted that NetQin is able to leverage our services to
more effectively manage their business, and ultimately, better serve their
customers with first-class threat monitoring tools,” said Lily Zhang,
managing director of Pacnet China.

Pacnet’s IP Transit service provides carriers and software companies
with one-hop global connectivity to major Internet peering points and content
providers, delivering a truly global IP infrastructure. Pacnet also offers
advanced data center facilities including Data Landing Stations that offer
direct access to Pacnet’s EAC-C2C subsea cable, Asia’s largest privately owned
subsea network.
