The vCPE solution leverages Juniper Networks vMX router, vSRX firewall and Networks Contrail Networking to enable telecom service providers to introduce services for their enterprise customers using virtual CPE.

The Amdocs Network Cloud Service Orchestrator allows provisioning and fulfillment of both virtual and physical network functions services. Juniper and Amdocs are also providing a user portal for self-service selection, a service catalog and service creation capability, and a range of delivery and managed services options to help service providers transition to an IT cloud operating model.

“By integrating Juniper’s virtual routing and security platforms through open interfaces and leveraging the service chaining that Contrail brings, Amdocs is able to seamlessly integrate physical and virtualized network functions into a platform for service delivery,” said Mike Marcellin, senior vice president of marketing and strategy at Juniper Networks.

Earlier, Juniper Networks and Canonical, a provider of services for Ubuntu deployments, expanded their partnership with a co-developed carrier-grade, OpenStack software solution that will enable service providers to virtualize core networks and network functions. This apart, Juniper will also provide service support for Canonical’s Ubuntu Server OS and Ubuntu OpenStack as part of Juniper Networks Contrail Cloud.
