Under the renewed agreement, Kyndryl will design and implement a comprehensive cyber resilience framework for Vi. The framework will strengthen security governance, enable zero-touch services, enhance data protection and improve identity and access management.

Kyndryl will also modernize Vi’s cybersecurity architecture to ensure compliance with emerging regulatory requirements. This approach aims to reduce manual interventions, improve threat visibility and ensure faster recovery of essential business data.

Kyndryl will introduce a next-generation IT Ops delivery model using advanced automation and data-driven insights. This model will help Vi shift towards a zero-touch delivery environment, improving service quality and operational agility. As part of this transformation, Kyndryl will lead major initiatives across backup, storage and continuous data protection to lower costs and increase efficiency.

Vi will continue using Kyndryl Bridge, the company’s AI-powered open integration platform, to drive actionable insights and automation. Kyndryl Bridge has already enabled more than one thousand automations at Vi, reducing delivery event noise by fifteen percent and offering unified observability across critical business services. Globally, the platform generates more than fifteen million AI-enabled insights each month for more than one thousand two hundred customers.

Jagbir Singh, CTO at Vi, emphasized that the renewed partnership aligns with the company’s goal of building a resilient, scalable and intelligent IT backbone to support long-term innovation. He highlighted that Kyndryl’s automation and AI-driven capabilities will help optimize Vi’s infrastructure and enhance customer value.

Lingraju Sawkar, President of Kyndryl India, noted that Vodafone India’s decision to extend the partnership reinforces Kyndryl’s expertise in managing mission-critical systems and overseeing complex transformation programs. He emphasized that Kyndryl’s understanding of Vi’s priorities has consistently delivered operational efficiencies and strengthened its digital ecosystem.

Kyndryl continues to support telecommunications companies in India and globally with integrated solutions spanning IT infrastructure, network modernization, security services, big data, AI and automation. Its partnership with Vi has played a key role in major transformation milestones, including the seamless integration of Vodafone and Idea, execution of pandemic-era business continuity planning and completion of 26 consolidation projects.
