Huawei unveils fixed-line ultra-broadband solutions at Broadband World Forum 2014

Telecom network vendor Huawei today said it will unveil fixed-line ultra-broadband solutions at the Broadband World Forum 2014 (BBWF), Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Huawei FMC 2.0 strategy, which stands for fixed broadband, mobile broadband, and content, puts content at the center.

In anticipation of a 4K resolution video, ultra-broadband boom, Huawei will showcase SDN-based OLT MA5800 and deliver optical access platform (WDM-PON, 40G-PON, future-oriented 100G-PON access) to build a stable network infrastructure for carriers.

At BBWF, Huawei will also highlight its solution for fixed-line network modernization for global telecom operators.

Huawei’s SDN technology and business solutions, such as the 5th generation optical network, T-SDN, and 400G/1T OTN, enable carriers to achieve, open, flexible and efficient networks.

Huawei will showcase its cloud operating system, FusionSphere, integrated platform FusionCube, as well as intelligent datacenter solutions.

Huawei will also introduce its latest Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) progress and showcase how its unified ICT orchestration management system can help improve the network efficiency for telecoms.

Yumin Mao, vice president, Core Network, Huawei, said: “Since we released the first cloud-based core network strategy and roadmap, Huawei has always timely executed and delivered for its customers. We will continue to promote a healthy and open development of NFV.”
