Huawei will release the telecom industry’s first AI-Native framework for intelligent operations, along with a new generation of intelligent solutions, during MWC Barcelona 2026.

The announcement marks a significant milestone in the evolution of AI-driven telecom operations, as service providers accelerate digital transformation to support next-generation networks, cloud-native infrastructure and AI-powered services.
AI-Native Framework Redefines Intelligent Operations
With rapid advancements in Large Language Models, World Models and Digital Twins, the operational landscape of telecom networks is undergoing a fundamental shift. Over the past year, Huawei has collaborated with leading global operators and industry organizations to define a standardized AI-Native framework tailored specifically for intelligent operations in telecom.
Huawei describes AI-Native as a value-driven, systematic framework designed to move beyond incremental automation and toward fully intelligent, outcome-focused operations.
The framework is built on three core elements:
1. Outcome-Oriented Intelligence
The AI-Native approach prioritizes measurable business outcomes. It focuses on solving complex challenges that traditional methods could not address, while also enabling operators to tackle new operational scenarios emerging from 5G, cloud and AI services.
By aligning AI capabilities with tangible value creation, operators can unlock new revenue streams, improve service quality and enhance operational efficiency.
2. DTN and Domain Model Driven Architecture
A central pillar of the framework is the integration of Digital Twin Networks and domain-specific models. By building accurate digital twins of telecom infrastructure and leveraging domain-driven modeling, operators can create closed-loop systems that continuously optimize performance.
This model-driven architecture allows predictive analytics, proactive fault management and intelligent resource allocation, enabling networks to self-optimize in real time.
3. Agentic Operations
Huawei’s AI-Native framework introduces “Agentic Operations,” a new paradigm that combines human expertise with digital employees powered by AI agents.
This element reimagines operational workflows, organizational structures and talent models to ensure seamless collaboration between human operators and AI systems. By embedding intelligent agents into daily processes, telecom companies can enhance decision-making speed, automate complex tasks and improve cross-functional coordination.
Huawei refers to this transformation as unlocking AI-driven “New Quality Productive Forces,” where AI becomes an active operational participant rather than a supporting tool.
New Generation of Intelligent Solutions
Based on the AI-Native framework, Huawei will also launch a new generation of intelligent operations solutions at MWC 2026. These solutions are designed to establish new operational paradigms, accelerate value realization and deliver a leap forward in network intelligence.
The company aims to help operators transition from automation to autonomy, enabling smarter network management, optimized customer experience and data-driven business innovation. As telecom operators worldwide prepare for the 5G-Advanced and 6G era, AI-Native intelligent operations are expected to become a foundational capability. Huawei’s latest initiative positions the company at the forefront of AI-powered telecom transformation, shaping how networks are managed in the era of pervasive intelligence.
