Huawei revenue up 40% to $36.75 bn in first half

Telecom network and software maker Huawei said it generated sales revenue of CNY 245.5 billion (+40 percent) or $36.75 billion in the first six months of 2016.

The Chinese technology company achieved an operating margin of 12 percent.

Sabrina Meng, chief financial officer of Huawei, said: “We are confident that Huawei will maintain its current momentum, and round out the full year in a positive financial position backed by sound ongoing operations.”

Huawei did not share specific details on revenue from its enterprise, devices and telecom network product businesses.
