Huawei reshuffles top team focusing on marketing, carrier, enterprise and product group

Telecom network vendor Huawei recently reshuffled its top management bringing new resources to marketing, carrier, enterprise and product groups.

Huawei said it appointed Xu Wenwei (William Xu) as chief strategy marketing officer, Ding Yun (Ryan Ding) as president of Products & Solutions, Zou Zhilei as vice president (in charge) of the Carrier Business and Yan Lida as vice president (in charge) of the Enterprise.

Xu Wenwei, chief strategy marketing officer, will leverage his experience in product marketing and enterprise management to oversee the development of Huawei’s strategic marketing campaigns. Prior to this role, Xu was the CEO of the Enterprise. Under his leadership, Huawei enterprise revenue grew 32.4 percent to CNY15.2 billion in 2013.

Since joining Huawei in 1991, Xu has served as president of the International Technical Sales & Marketing Department, president of the European Area, chief strategy & marketing officer, chief sales & service officer, and president of the Joint Committee of Regions.

Ding Yun, president of Products & Solutions, will provide insights into market dynamics and customer needs. Prior to this role, Ding was the CEO of the Carrier Network. In 2013, carrier network business rose 4 percent to CNY166.5 billion in sales revenue, which accounted for approximately 70 percent of Huawei’s total revenue.

Since joining Huawei in 1996, Ding has served as president of Product Line, president of the Global Solution Sales Department, president of the Global Marketing Department, and chief products & solutions officer.

Zou Zhilei is vice president (in charge) of Huawei’s Carrier BG. He has been in charge of sales in China and international markets for many years. Before taking this role, Zou was president of the Global Sales and Service Department under the Enterprise BG. Since joining Huawei in 1998, he has served as general manager of the Guangzhou Representative Office, and president of the Northern Africa Region.

Yan Lida, vice president (in charge) of Huawei’s Enterprise BG, has understanding of markets and customer needs outside China. Prior to taking this role, Yan was the president of Huawei Japan. Since joining Huawei in 1997, he served as vice president of the Europe Region, and vice president of the Eastern Asia Region.
