Huawei reports 22% revenue surge, with 71% of sales from China

Huawei Technologies said its revenue rose 22.4 percent to reach CNY 862.1 billion or $118.162 billion in 2024 as compared with CNY 704.174 billion in 2023 and CNY 642.338 billion in 2022.

Huawei Technologies said its revenue for ICT Infrastructure was CNY 369,903 million with a growth of 4.9 percent.

The Consumer segment generated CNY 339,006 million, reflecting a 38.3 percent increase.

Cloud Computing revenue reached CNY 38,523 million, growing by 8.5 percent.

Digital Power brought in CNY 68,678 million with a 24.4 percent growth.

The Intelligent Automotive Solution segment saw the highest increase, reaching CNY 26,353 million with a remarkable 474.4 percent growth.

Other revenues amounted to CNY 19,609 million, marking a 79.0 percent rise.

China

Huawei has generated sales of CNY615.264 billion from China alone, registering 30.5 percent increase. China has contributed 71 percent of its total sales last year.

Huawei’s revenue from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region was CNY148.355 billion in 2024, registering 2.1 percent increase.

Huawei’s revenue from the Asia-Pacific Region was CNY43.306 billion in 2024, registering 5.5 percent increase.

Huawei’s revenue from the Americas was CNY36.301 billion in 2024, registering 2.7 percent increase.

Huawei’s revenue from regions was CNY18.846 billion in 2024, registering 69.4 percent increase.

Net profit of Huawei Technologies fell 28 percent to 62.6 billion yuan ($8.63 billion). Huawei has invested CNY179.7 billion back into R&D, which accounted for 20.8 percent of its annual revenue. R&D investment over the past decade amounts to CNY1.249 trillion.

“In 2024, the entire team at Huawei banded together to tackle a wide range of external challenges, while further improving product quality, operations quality, and operational efficiency,” said Sabrina Meng, Huawei’s Rotating Chairwoman.
