The Huawei exhibition was visited by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and Prime Minister Prayut of Thailand. Accompanied by Joy Tan, President of Huawei Corporate Communications.

At ITU Telecom World 2016, Huawei urged governments across the world to make their ICT regulation more comprehensive but less restrictive.

Huawei stressed on the importance of building digital infrastructure to fuel a high quality economic transformation and long-term, sustainable growth.

Considering the growth in data, Huawei is calling on governments and regulators across the world to release more spectrum resources for telecommunications.

At the event, Huawei also presented the “digital brain” concept in the cloud, an engine for a more efficient society. Digital brain refers to the pool of information collected from computers around the world and stored in cloud. Data centers and national broadband networks will be the hubs and neurons of this brain.

We are now in a cloud era, and the shape of the cloud-powered digital society is emerging ever more clearly, the technology provider said. Huawei showcased exhibits such as government on cloud, industry on cloud, home on cloud, and person on cloud.

Presenting the theme, “Enabler of the Digital Economy, Building a Better Connected World,” Huawei showcased the latest ideas and experiences in cloud, national broadband networks, ultra-fast wireless communications, and smart devices.

There will be significant improvements in security, the quality of government services, education and healthcare, and in our material and cultural lives, according to Huawei.

Zou Zhilei, president of Huawei’s Carrier Business Group, said, “Data centers and broadband networks are a vital part of the national information infrastructure. Huawei is committed to building a better connected world, and we believe that for any developing nation or region seeking ‘leapfrog development’, it is vital to use the levers of policy, coordination on standards, and accelerated infrastructure rollout.”

Huawei also showcased Virtual reality (VR) and 5G wireless solutions at Telecom World.

The world should bring a spirit of openness and cooperation to 5G research so that a single, global standard can be defined. That will reduce costs, and enable the entire world to connect seamlessly, Huawei said.
