ADTRAN recently announced Mosaic One, a cloud-based network and service optimization platform that simplifies the deployment of broadband services.
The platform collects, correlates and analyzes data from the broadband network gateway, the broadband access network and the in-home network to proactively address service issues and improve the subscriber experience.
By simplifying network operations through automation, service providers can invest their resources in building out their network and driving revenue-generating services rather than investing in manual and siloed network operations processes.
Mosaic One works with ADTRAN’s Mosaic Subscriber Suite and Mosaic Network Suite, as well as third-party technology to ensure quick, flexible integration.
In this year alone, ADTRAN has won 82 new Mosaic customers. Mosaic applications will continue to be offered as a software toolset or as a service.
ADTRAN announced its Service Delivery Gateways (SDGs). The new SDG portfolio delivers a cohesive series of Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 platforms, consisting of Ethernet, GPON and 10G XGS-PON residential gateways and Wi-Fi mesh access points (APs).
The SDG portfolio is the industry’s first to leverage both EasyMesh, a standards-based approach to Wi-Fi networks that utilize multiple meshed APs, and OpenSync, an open-source interface that is a true differentiator due to its open approach and ability to accelerate deployment of services without reliance on customer premises equipment (CPE) silicon or integration partners.
The first of the SDG series will include 10G XGS-PON, GPON and Ethernet variants with integrated Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for extreme performance or Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) variants for demanding, cost-sensitive applications.
Availability for these SDGs will begin Q4 2020, with additional solutions launching in 2021.
ADTRAN announced a turnkey portfolio of broadband access, connected home and cloud-based management solutions that enables service providers to deploy and manage their customers’ Gigabit experience end-to-end.
This portfolio includes ADTRAN’s innovative fiber access and fiber extension solutions, highlighted by Combo PON technology that delivers both the value of GPON and the capacity of 10G XGS-PON simultaneously across the optical access fiber.
ADTRAN’s newly announced Wi-Fi 6-enabled residential gateways with integrated mesh Wi-Fi extend the Gigabit experience throughout the home, controllable through a smart phone app. All network elements are managed via Mosaic One, ADTRAN’s cloud-based network and service optimization platform that works across a range of technologies and vendors to optimize subscriber services.
ADTRAN designed this suite of solutions to work in concert to give service providers a single platform to manage the Gigabit experience from end-to-end while still enabling an open, multi-vendor environment.
These solutions will allow service providers to invest their scarce resources in connecting their communities, build their brand and monetize their fiber networks, than expending resources managing their networks and scrambling to cope with unforeseen subscriber demands.
