Harris CapRock picks Intelsat EpicNG platform to for broadband services

Telecom Lead Europe: Harris CapRock Communications, a
provider of fully managed communications for remote and harsh environments, has
entered into a multi-year agreement with Intelsat S.A. to utilize their
Intelsat EpicNG platform on Intelsat 29e for advanced fixed and mobile services.

The Intelsat EpicNG platform will allow Harris
CapRock to expand its service offerings and offer new applications to its
global customers across the energy, maritime and government markets.

We chose the Intelsat EpicNG platform for its
superior design, backward compatibility and high throughput performance, all of
which allow us to build upon our current deployments while enhancing our
long-term capabilities,” said Tom Eaton, president, Harris CapRock.

Harris CapRock currently has Ku-band capacity on multiple
satellites on the Intelsat fleet, which will expand to Intelsat 29e when it is
launched.

Comprising Intelsat 29e and Intelsat 33e, the Intelsat
EpicNG platform will utilize multiple frequency bands, wide beams, spot
beams and frequency reuse technology.

Our investment in the Intelsat EpicNG platform,
paired with the global mobility infrastructure being deployed in our 2012
launches, reflects Intelsat’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for
mobility and other high-throughput applications in the network services,
government and media sectors,” said Intelsat EVP of Sales, Marketing and
Strategy Steve Spengler

Intelsat EpicNG will be complemented by Intelsat’s
existing satellite fleet and IntelsatONESM terrestrial network.

The two satellites, which are expected to launch in 2015
and 2016 respectively, will serve all of the populated continents.
