Globe Telecom signs 3-year ERP deal with software major SAP

Globe Telecom has signed a 3-year an ERP deal with business software major SAP as part of the strategy to digitalize its finance processes, enabling real-time decision making.

The Philippines-based telecom operator will use S4/HANA business suite platform, as well as Concur and Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P) solutions to modernize its business processes by automating most of the manual processes.

Globe Telecom Chief Finance Officer Rizza Maniego-Eala said: “We expect to improve business productivity and operational efficiencies that will enable our cross-functional teams to deliver a richer internal and external customer experience.”

SAP Concur aims to simplify travel and employee expense process of Globe Telecom. The investment in ERP solutions will assist Globe Telecom to improve employee travel and reimbursement experience as well as the finance team’s transaction handling.

“We appreciate that a mobile and digital leader like Globe has chosen SAP to continuously innovate the way they run their operations,” said Edler Panlilio, managing director at SAP Philippines.

Globe Telecom recently reported that its service revenues reached P68.3 billion – driven by data revenue — in the first half of 2018 as compared with P62.9 billion in the same period of 2017.
