Genband to acquire uReach Technologies

Genband is set to acquire uReach Technologies, a provider of voice, video and unified messaging solutions and services.

The acquisition of uReach’s solutions enhances Genband’s offerings with a comprehensive messaging portfolio designed to be deployed by global service providers via distributed, Internet-scale cloud or in-network models.

uReach, which works with service providers including tier 1 carriers in North America and their millions of subscribers, offers messaging software and business applications designed to enhance productivity and improve communications.

The uReach solution suite includes Advanced VoiceMail, VideoMail, VisionMail and VirtualReceptionist. These solutions are mobile, social and visual, offering carriers the latest voicemail, auto-attendant, fax, unified messaging, mobile fax, and mobile visual voicemail capabilities.

The carrier-class uReach Converged Intelligent Messaging platform, which simultaneously supports all uReach applications and solutions, offers high reliability and high availability, while being scalable to millions of subscribers at a nationwide level.

Leveraging service-oriented REST APIs, the IMS-compliant and open standards approach delivers applications across any network topology and enables device-independent access to the latest messaging and calling solutions.
