Agilent to work with FIME to deliver testing solutions for mobile payments and telecom markets

Telecom test and measurement vendor Agilent Technologies will work with FIME, a secure-chip testing provider, to deliver testing solutions to the payments and telecommunications markets.

The focus of the alliance will be on the advancement of tools to test and certify secure-chip mobile payment technology. They will utilize the combined knowledge of FIME’s expertise in the payments sector together with Agilent’s focus on the telecommunications industry.

Both testing vendors will expand their portfolio. They are trying to tap a big market opportunity. Advanced smartphones will have mobile payment and mobile communications to offer better experiment to consumers.

Pascal Le Ray, general manager of FIME, said, “Over the past 12 months we have continued to open new test centers around the world to be closer to our stakeholders, better understand their needs and respond quickly to their requirements.
