XL Axiata
Telecom network maker Ericsson today announced its cloud and NFV deal with XL Axiata at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2016).

As per the telecom infrastructure deal, Ericsson will deliver cloud solution including Ericsson Hyperscale Datacenter System 8000 built with Intel Rack Scale Architecture.

XL Axiata aims for a standardized multivendor virtualization environment to offer innovative services to markets more rapidly.

XL Axiata, as part of the first phase of the transformation, will be making investment in Ericsson Service Aware Policy Controller (SAPC) and Traffic Monitoring and Analysis (TMA) VNFs.

Investment in Ericsson Hyperscale Datacenter System 8000 with software, will allow XL Axiata to optimize its NFV and IT infrastructure through disaggregated and software-defined infrastructure for ensuring flexible and responsive resource utilization.

Dian Siswarini, president director, XL Axiata, said: “We look forward to putting NFV and cloud to practical use. We will accelerate the delivery of innovative services by exposing network assets, while improving efficiency.”
