Ericsson bags managed services contract from Zain Iraq

Sweden-based telecom equipment maker Ericsson has bagged 5-year managed services contract from Zain Iraq to assist operator to transition from network performance to service performance.

The extension of the managed services contract is till 2021. Ericsson has been offering managed services for Networks, IT and value-added services to the operator since 2012.

Ericsson will be supplying a Service Operation Center and Energy Network Operations Center to Zain Iraq, as per the new deal.

“During the next five years, as we continually upgrade and expand our network, we expect even greater success by ensuring that exceptional network and service performance is available for our customers,” said Ali Al Zahid, CEO of Zain Iraq.

Rafiah Ibrahim, head of Ericsson Middle East and Africa, was instrumental in extending the present managed services deal with Zain Iraq.
