This is a very significant announcement. It will ultimately lead to Ericsson being the
Woolworths of the Telcos. I have been
with Ericsson for many years and during that period the company has been
heading in the wrong direction. First,
there are far too many managers at Ericsson.
Layer upon layer of managers who do not value add to the business. Secondly too much work has been outsourced
overseas. The general technical competence
of the overseas workers is inordinately deficient. The solution is to abolish most of the middle
management positions and employ more engineers and technicians to work on the
core roles at the ground level. Middle management
reports to other middle managers who have no direct supervision of any staff. .Middle
management frustrate the efficient operation of the company. I want to see our company succeed. If we do not act now, the damage will become ill
repairable.
Furthermore, I forgot to clarify I currently I work in
Australian arm of Ericsson. More to come
soon. I just need to clear future posts
via my manager.
To be clear my comments relate to my involvement in Ericsson
Australia, I cannot comment
for Europe. However, I can tell you that Ericsson
Australia is in a spiral death dive.
Reform and change cannot occur when the employees are
silenced. Ericsson Australia has
major problems. These problems are
becoming worse. Unfortunately
constructive criticism is not welcomed at Ericsson Australia. Senior management is not being properly
informed by middle management. Things will
become worse and not better. Furthermore
why are some people at Ericsson now putting resources into finding out my identity?
I ask would it not be better to fix our
problems and reform middle management. To
those searching logs to trying to find out which employee I am, are wasting
company time. You will never find
out. I have been tipped off about this
Ericsson internal investigation. I
intend to provide a list of all the middle managers in Australia with their
current salaries and whether each one value adds to our company. I will do this because internal investigations
and audit are too busy at the moment trying to find out my identify. However I will sleep well because they do not
have the technical competence to even do this task. Good luck boys!
Good Afternoon Ericsson Australia Staff,
Since my postings there has been much discussion about them.
Interestingly the focus has been on
establishing my identity. Significantly
nobody disputes the issues I raise. Not
even the middle managers who know that they are rorting the system. We all agree that middle management in Ericsson
Australia
needs an urgent review and culling.
Today I wish to expand the discussion in the form of some
general questions.
Do any current or former middle managers have relatives
working in another telecommunications company?
If so, has commercial in confidence Ericsson Australia
information been passed on to that relative to give the other telecommunications
company an unfair advantage in a tender process?
Do all middle level managers, past and present, have the
required or necessary experience and qualifications to hold that middle level
manager position in Ericsson Australia?
Has the claimed experience and academic qualifications by
those middle managers been independently verified?
Have middle level managers used interstate travel for
vocation purposes or to visit close relatives?
Okay, that is enough for today. Time to go back to work but lets develop this
discussion further. What do you
think? Let’s build a better Ericsson Australia
and not a Dick Smith Telco.
