Telecom equipment vendor Ericsson today announced its 7-year managed services deal with Montenegrin mobile operator M:tel.

As per the managed services deal, Ericsson will manage its network infrastructure including the radio access network, transmission network and core network – as well as IT operations related to value-added services and charging and billing.

Today, Nokia Networks, one of the competitors of Ericsson, announced its 5-year managed services deal with Mobily, a Saudi Arabian telecom operator.

Ericsson will provide field support and maintenance, spare parts handling, support for enterprise IT and service desks for M:tel’s end users.

“We believe this contract will enable us to improve our focus on our core activities and facilitate more effective and integrated handling and management of our networks and service delivery,” said Vladimir Lucic, CEO of M:tel.
