D-Link launches DGS-1100 smart switch series

D-Link announced the launch of DGS-1100, an Easy Smart
Switch series, the latest addition from 
the company to its Green family. Designed for SMEs with
scalable data and to reduce power 
consumption, DGS-1100 series complies with the latest
IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) 
standard. It combines Gigabit Ethernet switching with the
latest energy saving technology.

 

The DGS-1100 Series also supports Layer
2 features such as IGMP snooping to optimize performance for multicast
applications. A fanless design allows for quieter operation and provides a
longer product life. All these features make DGS-1100 series an affordable
solution for Small and Medium Business. This series is also suitable for
enterprise deployment, such as in branch offices and meeting rooms that require
simple network management.

 

D-Link DGS-1100
Easy Smart Switch series comes 
with 16 or 24, 10/100/1000 ports and provides easy
configurations via a similar user interface. The 
functionalities of DGS-1100 series help customers
prioritize and segregate traffic, manage bandwidth 
effectively, and troubleshoot easily.

 

DGS-1100 Series supports Surveillance VLAN, which is best
suited for video surveillance deployment.

 

D-Link DGS-1100 Series also features intuitive
SmartConsole utility and a web-based management 
interface that enables administrators to remotely control
their network down to the port level.
