Cisco Announces Leadership Changes to Drive Innovation and Growth

Cisco, the prominent network supplier for enterprises, has unveiled significant leadership changes aimed at fostering innovation, simplicity, and growth within the company.
Cisco leadership team in 2024Effective immediately, Liz Centoni assumes the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Experience Officer, while Thimaya Subaiya takes on the position of Executive Vice President of Operations.

Additionally, Mark Patterson expands his responsibilities as Chief of Staff to become the new Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, and Emerging Technology and Incubation efforts.

“Liz, Thimaya, and Mark, along with their teams, will achieve as we drive growth for Cisco and unparalleled experiences for our customers, partners, and people,” Chuck Robbins, Chairman and CEO of Cisco, said in a blog post.

Liz Centoni, EVP and Chief Customer Experience Officer, brings with her 23 years of experience at Cisco, during which she played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of key technologies such as Cloud, Compute, and IoT. Her new role will focus on leveraging her technical expertise to enhance customer success and adoption across Cisco’s portfolio, employing emerging technologies like AI to deliver unparalleled customer experiences.

Thimaya Subaiya, EVP of Operations, has spent six years at Cisco, leading the CX organization and serving as Chief Transformation Officer. His extensive experience will be instrumental in evolving and implementing operational capabilities across the company, with a focus on innovation, simplicity, and optimization to drive scale and growth.

Mark Patterson, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, brings over 23 years of experience at Cisco and has been a key business partner for more than 17 years. His new role will involve spearheading Cisco’s growth strategy through acquisitions, partnerships, investments, and innovation, aligning organic and inorganic efforts with the company’s overarching goals.
