Cambium Networks launches cnPilot 802.11ac WiFi products

Cambium Networks CEO Atul Bhatnagar

Cambium Networks, a provider of wireless broadband solutions, has launched cnPilot, 802.11ac WiFi products for use in home, enterprise, and industrial networks.

cnMaestro, the company’s new cloud-based network lifecycle management platform, will manage the cnPilot brand of WiFi products.

The company will be offering the following cnPilot WiFi models:

# cnPilot Home and Small Business 802.11ac and 802.11n access points with integrated ATA
cnPilot Indoor Gigabit 802.11ac enterprise grade dual-band access point
cnPilot Outdoor 802.11ac dual band access point
ePMP Hotspot Single Band 802.11n single band

Cambium Networks said cnMaesto assists in network planning, inventory management, onboarding of devices, operation and any network maintenance issues. cnMaestro offers WiFi controller features, providing analytics and insight into the access points and the client devices.

“The segment we are targeting has been underserved. We saw a need in the market for a middle ground between complex, expensive solutions geared toward large enterprises, and inexpensive equipment that becomes unreliable to scale,” said Atul Bhatnagar, president and CEO of Cambium Networks.

Cambium Networks said cnPilot is currently running live network traffic with customers in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Cambium Networks said it will begin shipping cnPilot in mid-September 2015.
