C-COM unveils Gilat compatible iNetVu 985 Ka-band antenna


C-COM Satellite Systems, a global provider of mobile
auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced the launch of its new
iNetVu 985 Ka-band antenna system.


The iNetVu 985 is a 98 cm Ka-band vehicle-mounted antenna
representing C-COM’s next generation of mobile, auto-deploy antenna systems.


The Ka-band antenna system was tested by Gilat Satellite
Networks a provider of products and professional services for satellite-based
broadband communications networks worldwide, and is fully integrated with
Gilat’s SkyEdge II Ka-band terminals.

The iNetVu 985 joins C-COM’s extensive range
of mobile self-pointing, auto deploy antennas. The proprietary developed
antennas allow the delivery of broadband satellite Internet access, VoIP and
Video services in diverse mobile environments, including disaster management,
emergency services, oil and gas exploration, and SNG.


Recently, C-Com Satellite Systems has received
approximately $1.5 million in orders for its iNetVu mobile antennas from its
Russian resellers,


The iNetVu antenna systems will be used for oil and gas
exploration, military communication, satellite newsgathering and disaster
management. The company has already shipped some of the units this month and
will complete the order before the end of August.
