Buffalo introduces TeraStation Pro WSS


Buffalo Technology, a designer, developer and manufacturer of wired and
wireless networking, network and direct attached storage solutions, announced
the launch of Buffalo TeraStation Pro WSS, a RAID based network attached
storage (NAS) with the power of a Windows Server operating system.

 

Powered by Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Workgroup Edition,
TeraStation Pro WSS provides seamless capability with Windows computers and
servers and available in capacities up to 12TB in desktop model and up to 8TB
in Rack mount Model.

 

Buffalo’s network storage solution family is optimized to deliver file
server experience, and in addition to offering dependable, seamless domain
integration the TeraStation Pro WSS provides advanced features such as full
disk encryption and supports for NTFS for very specific file-level security.

 

The TeraStation Pro WSS incorporates the powerful Intel Atom Dual-Core
Processor providing class-leading performance enabling the ability to focus on
concurrent tasks with minimal performance degradation.

 

The TeraStation Pro WSS offers maximum network throughput even while a
replication job or a fast search indexing procedure during an anti-virus scan,
is occurring a runs in the background.  TeraStation Pro WSS supports full
disk encryption, support for NTFS for very specific file-level security.
Onboard Native Active Directory support provides integration with large Windows
networks.

availability of Buffalo Network Admin Tools v.1.3. Buffalo’s latest innovation is designed
to enable convenient centralized management of multiple TeraStation NAS devices
and offer robust file server experience coupled with dependable, seamless
