Alcatel-Lucent Q2 revenue up 5% to $3.78 billion

Alcatel-Lucent today said its revenue grew 5 percent to 3,450 million euros or $3.78 billion in the second quarter of 2015.

The telecom network company generated 1,675 million euros (+22%) from Core Networking and 1,772 million euros (-7%) from Access segment.
Alcatel-Lucent Q2 2015 revenue
Michel Combes, CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, said: “Results for the first half of 2015 show that the company has delivered on the key objectives of The Shift Plan, launched two years ago. The company is now well on track to complete its turnaround by the end of the year.”

Alcatel-Lucent posted a net loss 54 million euros in Q2 2015 compared to 298 million euros net loss in the year-ago period.

North America revenues increased 2 percent, Europe revenues rose 9 percent, Asia Pacific revenue grew 3 percent, reflecting project timing in China related to Wireless Access and continued weakness in Japan, partially compensated by growth in South-east Asia, Australia and India. In Rest of World, revenues increased 11 percent, as double-digit growth in CALA was partially offset by declines in MEA, said Alcatel-Lucent.
