Airspan buys Mimosa Networks to boost channel sales

Airspan Networks announced the acquisition of Mimosa Networks to strengthen its presence in wireless broadband networks.
Mimosa C5XFinancial details were not disclosed.

Airspan, a provider of 4G and 5G small cell access and backhaul solution provider, with over 1000 customers in over 100 countries, is partly owned by Oak Investment Partners XI.

Eric Stonestrom, CEO of Airspan, said in a statement that the “acquisition will bring diversity to the company’s customer base, vertical markets, product portfolio, development centers and sales channels.”

Airspan’s customer base includes mobile operators, cable/MSOs, CSPs, wireless ISPs and private network operators in public safety, utilities, oil and gas and air to ground.

Airspan will use Mimosa’s channel-led sales strategy to enhance distribution of Airspan’s products for specific vertical markets, such as private LTE and applications in the newly available CBRS spectrum band.
