Spreadtrum latest smartphone SoCs support 5-mode LTE and WCDMA

Spreadtrum Communications has unveiled two new quad-core SoC platforms – one supporting 5-mode LTE and the second supporting WCDMA.

The SC9830A supports 5-mode LTE, while the SC7731G supports WCDMA. Both are designed with 28nm process technology.

Smartphones makers for both China and global markets have started utilizing SC9830A and SC7731G chips for their recent launches.

“Our 5-mode integrated LTE SoC enables our customers to design products with advanced features, addressing the growing demand for LTE mobile devices. This platform coupled with semiconductor process technology delivers a cost-effective solution for LTE mobile devices,” said Leo Li, chairman and CEO of Spreadtrum.
