Qualcomm wins mobile technology deal from Samsung

Qualcomm and Samsung have agreed to extend their patent license agreement for 3G, 4G, 5G and upcoming 6G mobile technology through the end of 2030. Financial details were not disclosed.
Qualcomm for 5GQualcomm and Samsung also agreed to expand their collaboration with Snapdragon platforms for future premium Samsung Galaxy products, including smartphones, PCs, tablets, extended reality, and more, a news statement from Qualcomm said.

“When we provide the Snapdragon 800 platform to a Galaxy smartphone, in terms of revenue and earnings, it replaces at least the revenue and earnings of selling modems to five iPhones,” Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said.
