Videocon Mobile launches A29 Android smartphone without any innovation

Videocon Mobiles today announced the launch of its Videocon A29 Android smartphone in the Indian telecom market.

A29 smartphone – priced at Rs 5,799 – features include 4-inch WVGA Capacitive Touch Screen, dual SIM standby, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 3.2 MP rear camera, front VGA camera, 4GB ROM, 512 MB RAM, 1400 mAh battery and Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS.

Videocon A29 comes with leather-like back. It’s available in Sinful Black and Pearl White color casings.

Videocon A29 in India launched

The company will be targeting Indian youth who are looking for upgrading from their feature phones.

Khalid Zamir, head Product Planning & Development, Videocon Mobile Phones Division, said: “With this launch our aim is to bring a market-leading innovation to our target audience which demands a cutting-edge smartphone well within their budget.”

Considering the current features, A29 smartphone does not have any significant value addition or innovation as claimed by Videocon Mobiles.
