Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Series Sets Record with 250,000 Pre-bookings in India

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S24 series, has achieved a remarkable milestone in India, securing an unprecedented 250,000 pre-bookings within three days of its launch.

The global launch of the Galaxy S24 series was on January 17, and pre-bookings in India commenced on January 18. Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India, highlighted the transformative impact of the Galaxy S24 series, stating, “Galaxy S24 series, powered by Galaxy AI, ushers in a new era of mobile revolution and puts the power of AI in the hands of consumers to open up new possibilities.”

Customers who pre-book the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ are entitled to benefits worth Rs 22,000, while those pre-booking the Galaxy S24 will receive benefits worth Rs 15,000. The official sale of the Galaxy S24 devices is scheduled to commence on January 31.

Neil Shah, Vice President, Research at Counterpoint, emphasized the rapid growth of the overall premium market, presenting an opportunity for Samsung to register annual growth for the S Series and increase its market share. He noted, “The benefits of ‘Galaxy AI’ and how it can personalize, secure, and optimize phone usage can be a great differentiator to excite the premium user base this year.”

The ‘Made in India’ Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 smartphones introduce industry-first AI features such as Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, and Transcript Assist. The AI capabilities extend to the Samsung Keyboard, which can translate messages in real-time in 13 languages, including Hindi.

The Galaxy S24 series’ ‘ProVisual Engine’ encompasses a suite of AI-powered tools designed to enhance image capturing abilities and provide users with creative freedom. Prabhu Ram, Head, Industry Intelligence Group at CMR, highlighted the Galaxy S24 series as a pivotal shift in the smartphone landscape, emphasizing its prioritization of AI for more purposeful and powerful consumer experiences.

Raju Pullan expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, stating, “The huge success of Galaxy S24 series demonstrates that Indian consumers are early adopters of new technology.” The series is expected to drive further innovation and upgrades, offering transformative capabilities that set it apart in the competitive smartphone market.
