Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Starts at $649 and Galaxy Watch9 at $349 with Snapdragon Wear Elite, AI Health Features and 5,000-Nit Display

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, introducing its most advanced smartwatch lineup powered by the new Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform. Designed for continuous health monitoring, AI-powered wellness insights, and high-performance fitness tracking, the new Galaxy watches feature Samsung’s largest smartwatch batteries, brightest displays, improved durability, and enhanced comfort for 24/7 wear.

Galaxy Watch Ultra2

The premium Galaxy Watch Ultra2 starts at $649 and is engineered for outdoor enthusiasts and endurance athletes. The 47 mm smartwatch features an 800 mAh battery, representing a 35 percent increase over the previous Ultra model, and a 5,000-nit display for clear visibility even in bright sunlight. Samsung has reduced the watch’s thickness by 12 percent, despite the larger battery, while retaining its rugged titanium construction.

Powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 introduces dedicated Trail Run tracking with elevation analysis, climbing progress, terrain impact monitoring, and Nutrition Alert hydration guidance based on sweat loss. The smartwatch is also designed for professional diving, offering IP69K, 10 ATM, and EN13319 certifications. It automatically tracks dive depth, duration, and water temperature, while the upcoming Ultra2 Diving app developed with Mares will add ascent and descent speed tracking along with safe diving limits.

Samsung has positioned the Galaxy Watch9, priced from $349, as an everyday health companion for users seeking continuous wellness tracking. The smartwatch features a lightweight aluminum case, interchangeable soft-touch bands, a 390 mAh battery, and a 3,000-nit display for improved outdoor readability. The Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform delivers faster performance and greater power efficiency for seamless all-day health monitoring.

Both smartwatches introduce Samsung’s latest AI-powered health platform built around the BioActive sensor. New health features include Sleep Apnea monitoring supported by FDA-cleared AI algorithms, Vitals for detecting significant health deviations during sleep, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index, and Hearing protection with unsafe noise alerts. These capabilities transform continuous biometric data into personalized health recommendations covering sleep, cardiovascular health, recovery, fitness, and daily wellness.

Samsung is also offering a wide range of interchangeable bands tailored for different lifestyles. Galaxy Watch Ultra2 supports Marine, PeakForm, and Trail bands for outdoor activities, diving, and sports, while Galaxy Watch9 offers Sports, Misty, and Fabric bands designed for workouts, everyday wear, and sleep tracking.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 also integrate with Samsung Care+, providing accidental damage protection, extended warranty coverage, repair services, diagnostics, and remote support, further strengthening Samsung’s premium wearable ecosystem.
