Nokia unveils Asha 303 smartphone in Indian mobile market

Telecom Lead India: Mobile major Nokia has expanded its
Asha series with the launch of the Nokia Asha 303, a touch and type smartphone
with a QWERTY keypad for the Indian market.

 

Nokia Asha 303 runs on 1GHz processor and offers
Bluetooth connectivity, an internal memory of 170 MB with support for up to 32
GB memory, sports a 3.2 MP camera and a 2.6 inch capacitive touchscreen.

 

The smartphone features pre-installed entertainment and
applications such as Angry Birds Lite, Mobile TV with Zenga TV, Whatsapp, along
with DRM-free Nokia Music Unlimited service.

 

Nokia has been bringing smart innovation on mobile
devices to newer price points, feeding the vast appetite for digital
consumption for consumers who are young, urban, hyper-social and want the
smartest phones at affordable prices. The Nokia Asha 303, loaded with
Nokia Browser, Webapps, preinstalled Zenga TV, Whatsapp and Angry Birds Lite,
stands very strong as an affordable smartphone,” said Viral Oza, director
marketing, Nokia India.

 

Nokia Asha 303 offers DRM-free Nokia Music Unlimited
service that allows consumers to download music from a catalogue of over 40 lakh
songs and share it unrestricted with anyone they want.

 

Vodafone customers can enjoy high speed internet on their
Nokia Asha 303 with 1GB of 3G/2G data per month for 4 months absolutely free.

 

The 3G-enabled social networking hub, Nokia Asha 303,
offers faster access to the internet and services such as Nokia Messaging and
Nokia Store. Consumers can also enjoy live mobile TV with Zenga TV.

 

The smartphone is priced at Rs 8899 and available in Red
and Graphite colors.

 

Nokia,
recently expanded its Asha portfolio with the introduction of three
new Asha feature phone models — the Nokia Asha 202, Asha 203 and
Asha 302.
