NXP Semiconductors Q2 2025 results: Revenue growth, segment highlights, and strategy update

NXP Semiconductors has reported revenue of $2.93 billion, down 6 percent year-on-year, for the second quarter, which ended June 29, 2025.

In Q2 2025, NXP’s revenue from the Automotive segment remained nearly flat year-over-year at $1,729 million compared to $1,728 million in Q2 2024, and increased from $1,674 million in Q1 2025.

NXP’s revenue from the Industrial & IoT segment declined to $546 million from $616 million in Q2 2024 but rose from $508 million in Q1 2025.

NXP’s revenue from the Mobile segment generated $331 million, down from $345 million in Q2 2024 and slightly lower than $338 million in Q1 2025.

NXP’s revenue from Communication Infrastructure & Other recorded $320 million, down significantly from $438 million in Q2 2024 but slightly up from $315 million in Q1 2025.

“We continue to drive solid profitability and earnings, by strengthening our competitive portfolio and by aligning our wafer fabrication footprint consistent with our hybrid manufacturing strategy,” said Kurt Sievers, NXP Chief Executive Officer.

NXP made three key announcements in 2025 highlighting its growing role in advanced automotive technologies.

On May 8, NXP introduced its third-generation imaging radar processors, the S32R47, designed for Level 2+ to Level 4 autonomous driving, offering twice the processing power of the previous generation.

On June 12, NXP partnered with Rimac Technology to co-develop a software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture using NXP’s S32E2 processors, enhancing real-time domain and zonal control capabilities.

On June 17, NXP completed its acquisition of TTTech Auto, strengthening its position in safety-critical systems and middleware for SDVs.
