Eutelsat posts €574 mn revenue in first half

Eutelsat revealed that its revenues rose 0.3 percent in the first half to €574 million.
Eutelsat HQEutelsat said second quarter revenues fell 6 percent to €286 million.

Eutelsat generated revenue of €339 million (–6.7 percent) from Broadcast, €83 million (–2.5 percent) from Data & Professional Video, €67 million (–20.3 percent) from Government Services, €37 million (+17 percent) from Fixed Broadband and €56 million (+32.7 percent) from Mobile Connectivity during the first half.

Eutelsat said the backlog stood at €3.7 billion at 31 December 2022 versus 4.2 billion a year earlier and 4.0 billion at end June 2022. The erosion of the backlog in the first half more than offset the contribution of the contract with Swisscom on Eutelsat KONNECT as well as the new beams commercialized on Eutelsat QUANTUM.
