Vietnam Surges Ahead: Rapid 5G Rollout Transforms National Connectivity
Vietnam has rapidly transitioned from early 5G pilots to a nationwide rollout in under two years, making its deployment one of Southeast Asia’s most strategically significant telecom developments. The government’s proactive spectrum licensing and policy shifts have enabled major operators like Viettel, VNPT, and MobiFone to expand 5G infrastructure quickly. As of late 2025, coverage reached most of the population, with targets set to cover 99 percent by 2030, underpinning the country’s digital economy ambitions.
