T-Mobile Supercharges Digital-First Strategy with Cloud-Native Netcracker Platform

T-Mobile has expanded its partnership with Netcracker Technology to accelerate the shift of its business and operations support systems (BSS/OSS) to a cloud-native platform. The move is aimed at boosting agility, scalability and efficiency across T-Mobile’s wholesale and digital services operations. By modernising its core platforms, the operator can simplify partner onboarding, automate processes and significantly reduce service launch timelines. The cloud-based architecture enables faster configuration of new offerings, real-time service management and stronger security controls. This upgrade supports T-Mobile’s focus on delivering flexible, digital-first services while improving customer experience and enabling rapid innovation across its growing ecosystem of partners.

Citi Field Set for a Connectivity Home Run with Boingo Wireless

Boingo Wireless has been selected as the cellular infrastructure and Wi-Fi provider for the New York Mets’ Citi Field, strengthening digital connectivity across the iconic stadium. The partnership will deliver high-capacity cellular and Wi-Fi networks designed to support seamless mobile usage for fans, staff and operations. Boingo’s neutral-host infrastructure will provide coverage for all major mobile carriers, enabling faster data speeds, improved reliability and expanded 5G services. The enhanced network will support mobile ticketing, in-seat ordering, live streaming, social sharing and real-time applications during games and events. Initial upgrades are already underway, with broader deployment planned to ensure consistent, high-quality connectivity throughout the venue.

Pakistani Telecoms Sound Alarm Over Costly 5G Rollout

Telecom companies in Pakistan have voiced strong concerns about the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) Information Memorandum (IM) for the upcoming 5G spectrum auction. Operators argue that the IM’s aggressive rollout requirements — including installing at least 1,000 new cell sites annually — would force each company to invest an additional $150–200 million per year in infrastructure on top of spectrum costs, a burden they say is unsustainable in Pakistan’s low‑revenue market. Industry leaders claim the IM fails to present a viable business case and are urging PTA and the government to adjust the terms to make the 5G rollout commercially feasible.
