Huawei inks deals with Maxis and Telkomsel at MWC 2019

Huawei announced technology deals with two leading telecom operators in Asia – Telkomsel of Indonesia and Maxis of Malaysia — at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) in Barcelona.

Maxis and Huawei will accelerate 5G trials in Malaysia.

Maxis CEO-designate Gokhan Ogut said it is focusing on live 5G trials, 5G investments and evolving our network infrastructure to be ready for a future where smart solutions will be part of everyday life.

Huawei has signed over 30 5G commercial contracts and shipped more than 40,000 5G base stations across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Telkomsel

Telkomsel and Huawei will accelerate infrastructure development towards achieving the development of Digital Indonesia. Telkomsel and Huawei will be cooperating on future evolution, technology innovation via Joint Innovation Center 5.0, digital services exploration and talent development.
Telkomsel and Huawei MWC 2019Ririek Adriansyah, president director at Telkomsel, said: “Telkomsel has the responsibility to develop the ICT infrastructure to help Indonesia achieve Digital Indonesia 2025 vision.”
