Vodafone Idea inks video content deal with SonyLIV

Vodafone Idea announced a partnership with SonyLIV, a video on demand service by Sony Pictures Networks India.
Idea and Vodafone dealsVodafone Idea subscribers can access SonyLIV content — shows, movies and web series — in Hindi and English on Vodafone Play or Idea Movies and TV app.

The mobile phone subscriber base of Vodafone Idea fell to 409.370 million in Feb 2019 from 415.158 million in Jan 2019. Vodafone Idea’s mobile data subscriber base marginally grew to 110.23 million in Feb 2019 from 109.86 million in Jan 2019.

The content offering includes 1000 plus movies along with 14 original shows, 100 plus short format shows, top rated shows from Sony Entertainment Channel and Sab TV for Vodafone Idea customers.

“We have built the platforms to curate top content across genres and offer it to customers in one single destination on both Vodafone and Idea networks,” Avneesh Khosla, operations director – Marketing, Vodafone Idea, said.

The Vodafone Play application has live television channels, international television shows, and exclusive original web series, in addition to movies across several languages.

Idea Movies and TV provides access to many movies and channels across several regional and international languages.
