UPS expands mobile footprint to 35 more foreign markets

 

UPS,
a provider of logistics offering a broad range of solutions including the
transportation of packages and freight, announced the launch of the company’s
mobile Web site, to 35 additional countries and
territories.

 

With this, UPS customers from Austria to
Australia now have mobile access to track packages, calculate shipping rates
and find the nearest UPS location.

 

“Accessibility is vital to customers and our mobile offerings extend UPS
capabilities to busy, on-the-go professionals and consumers who need immediate
access,” said Jordan Colletta, vice president of customer technology marketing
at UPS.

 

When mobile users log in with a My UPS ID, saved tracking information is
automatically refreshed to display package tracking history. UPS tracking
numbers also can be nicknamed for quick reference.

 

m.ups.com
was available previously to customers only in the United States, Germany,
United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada.

 

The mobile Web site is now available for customers in the Americas
(Brazil, Puerto Rico and Mexico); Asia (China, India, South Korea, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and
New Zealand); Europe (Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland,
Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Russia, Turkey,
Romania, Greece, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Hungary) as well as South
Africa.
