has launched an Android application called Control ME that enables
users to control their phones remotely through any other phone by just
sending an SMS.
The biggest problem we face if we misplace our phone is
that we do not have any numbers we want to call. We cannot call anyone or
inform anyone that we do not have our phone. But with Control Me you
don’t have to worry about this,” said Arun Gupta, CEO, MoMagic.
There is no need of GPRS/ Wi-Fi connection to run this
application. The app comes with various features including Call Divert and Call
rejects with auto SMS.
The app also offers Contact Fetch feature that enables
user to fetch any number of contacts from phonebook.
The app also performs data wipe with Data Delete feature.
User can remotely delete SMS, contact details and data from phone or memory
card.
Availability of so many features makes the application a
multi-utility tool and the best part is, it utilizes SMS as a medium to control
the phone as GPRS/ Wi-Fi is not always available to user. SMS is a much simpler
and quicker medium,” Gupta added.
The Mobile Tracker features provide an easy way to track
the lost phone location by sending an SMS to 3 predefined numbers.
MoMagic to offer MediaTek MRE app store to make feature phones
smarter
Recently, MoMagic Technologies announced partnership
with semiconductor solutions provider MediaTek to create an
application development platform called Maui Runtime Environment (MRE).
The new platform will enable feature phone users to enjoy
the features available in smartphones.
