MapmyIndia to unveil Internet-connected and Android-based In-dash GPS navigation systems

MapmyIndia, a provider of GPS navigation, has
decided to introduce in-dash touchscreen GPS navigation systems at Auto Expo
2012.

These in-dash systems offer superior

runs on Android. The new device allows users to browse the internet, download
apps from the Android Marketplace, watch live television in the car and track
the location of the vehicle live sitting anywhere. It is powered by Aura,
MapmyIndia’s latest full featured 3D navigation software with house-level
search.

Other major announcements from MapmyIndia at
the Auto Expo include the introduction of MapmyIndia Zx250, India’s first
portable 3D navigator and entertainment device, and the release of MapmyIndia
Maps v7.0 with unprecedented map details of India covering 4000+ cities at
street level, 36 cities at house-level detail, 20 cities in full 3D and 6.3
million unique destinations.

At MapmyIndia, we’re constantly innovating
and building new technologies to provide a rich, confident and fun travel
experience — spanning navigation map data, software and hardware — and this
shows in our track record of releasing path-breaking products and services. The
current announcements mark the next leap in what’s available to the Indian
consumer. We’re excited to bring these innovations to market in partnership
with car manufacturers, tier 1 system suppliers and our strong distribution
network across India,” said Rohan Verma, director, MapmyIndia.
