Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra to develop 30 Young CEOs by 2015

Telecom Lead Asia: Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra aim to develop 30 Young CEOs in the system by 2015.

The Young CEO program is a “by invitation only program” where the members are hand-picked by the management council.

“I would like to focus on creation of our CEO FORCE – a model of distributed leadership comprising home-grown leaders and young talent within the organization, who work collaboratively and interdependently to achieve the purpose of our Mission 2015,” said CP Gurnani, CEO, Mahindra Satyam and MD, Tech Mahindra.

Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam did not disclose the conditions for picking up the talent for recognizing as Young CEOs.

The Young CEO program showcases the agility of a start-up and the experience of a behemoth.

The Young CEO Program is designed to nurture young leaders to take on significant roles with end-to-end responsibility in the areas of M&A, new business initiatives, platforms, or developing a new geography.

The Young CEOs will be empowered to run the sales, delivery and the domain areas. These Leaders will be given development inputs throughout and will have mentors and coaches to guide them to perform this task. The program will foster innovation by encouraging a start-up mindset while providing early leadership opportunities to the associates.
