Telecom lead America: Cobra Electronics Corporation, a
designer and marketer of Citizens Band (CB) radios and GPS navigation systems
for professional drivers, has launched Cobra 8000 Pro HD, a GPS navigation
system.
The new GPS navigation system features a bright 7-inch
full-color, high-definition touch screen display.

generation GPS navigation unit tailored precisely to the demanding needs of
professional drivers. Our new 8000 Pro HD achieves those goals, and
demonstrates our continued commitment to the safety and communication needs of
the professional driver community,” said Sally Washlow, senior vice

The device comes with free lifetime map updates and
lifetime access to Cobra’s AURA national database of speed/red light cameras.
The database helps alert drivers well in advance of known
speed and red light cameras, dangerous intersections and location-based threats
throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The device features truck-optimized route guidance and
live and predictive traffic congestion information from database partner
TomTom.
TomTom provides more than 1 million additional miles of
road coverage in the U.S.
The 8000 Pro HD includes more than 33,000
trucker-friendly Points-of-Interest.
The Cobra 8000 Pro HD is priced at MSRP of $449.95 and
available nationwide at travel centers, CB shops, truck dealers and on the
company’s website.
Cobra Electronics posts net sales of $26.41 million for Q1 2012
In April this year, Cobra Electronics Corporation posted
net sales of $26.41 million for the first quarter of 2012, as compared with
$22.43 million for the same quarter of last year.
