Bellco Credit Union announced the launch of new mobile
banking services, designed to improve the efficiency, convenience and security
of banking on-the-go for more than 196,000 customers.
The credit union mobile banking services include free
text banking, a mobile-optimized website and an iPhone app, making it convenient and
easy to check account balances, transfer money, view transaction history and
set up account management alerts. Bill payment options are included with the
iPhone app and mobile website, which features branch locator information and
easy viewing of current loan rates.

said Deirdra O’Gorman, vice president of Customer Relationship Management for
Bellco.

Bellco conducted a thorough review of available
technology to offer customers the right set of mobile banking features.
Following comprehensive research of various systems and application
functionality, Bellco partnered with ClairMail, a proven leader in mobile
banking services, to create its new mobile banking platform.
During the final development phase, Bellco completed a
series of rigorous security and usability tests, requesting additional customer
feedback to further refine the features and functionality of the platform in
advance of the public launch.
Customers who already use Bellco online banking may take
advantage of the new mobile banking services by enrolling online via Bellco’s
website or on their phones. Additionally, customers may enroll through the new
iPhone app that is available to download from the Apple iTunes Store.
Enhancements to mobile banking functionality, such as
mobile check deposit and other smart phone applications are planned for release
later this year.
Bellco Credit Union recently announced
new online security features and streamlined banking and reporting tools to
support Bellco’s more than 4,700 business members. Over the past 12 months,
online banking demand has increased 45 percent for Bellco business members as
measured by transaction volume.
New online business banking functionality enables members
to capitalize on 24/7 secure online access to manage their transactions, access
historical and trend reports, and confidently upload financial and employee
records without fear of data or identity theft.
